Few Words About Myself Michel's high passion
I´m a professional people- and lifestylephotographer. I have been living and working in Berlin, Germany for more than 20 years, inspired by the city´s vibrancy, creative scene and cosmopolitic lifestyles. In 2023 I moved to Rosenheim, Bavaria, located at the border of my beloved mountains and close to München/Munich. Nevertheless my Berlin office will go on existing as a second base for assignments in the capital. After a two-year stay in Barcelona, Spain, where I worked as an assistant to Spanish photographers and took up first assignments from German magazines, I graduated from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund, where I received the Kodak-Award for best Newcomer-Photographers in 1998 for my graduate project. In 1999 I moved to Berlin and started my business with first assignments from advertising agencies. My commissioned work includes portrait-, people- and travel-photography, advertising campaigns and editorial publications. But, speaking most personally, the greatest gift for me is that I can link my passion for wild outdoor activities to my work as a photographer. Already in the early years of my life I lost my heart to the mountains – you still find me hiking, freeclimbing, alpine climbing and ski-touring or freeriding whenever I can. My past career as a triathlete equipped me further with endurance and a strong, lasting connection with all kinds of sportive outdoors activities. This is why you will find here that the heartpiece of my photographic work covers outdoor adventure and mountainsports. I just love capturing the unity of people, nature, atmosphere and landscape when I take my camera outside. |
